so I couldn’t decide on a true winner of The wolfpack Remix competition… each one was fantastic and wildly different from the next in style and spirit. I’m about to post my top 5 here on tumblr, There were some really great bangers, surf + industrial goth (surfgoth?) anthems, dubstep + insane (in a good way) experimental noise pieces. To all you who entered, I have listened to each one, and some many many times honoured and inspired by your interpretation by your beats, imagination and skill. For such an important song I wrote in a strange introverted time of my life, well I never thought such a message would become such a public experience. Its been so hard just to whittle down to only 5 remixes. 

The one with the most likes combined by Thursday next week 8.00pm GMT on tumblr + Facebook wins! I will send the winner a relic from my studio + I still promise, if I get sent me the instrumental of the remix I will perform it as part of one of the forthcoming full band festival shows.

As i said many times before, ive never seen making music as a competition. So Im not quite sure why I ever decided to do one, but Im glad I did to hear all the marvellous music just made.

birdwatching paradise garden from my chair in my writing studio, every morning this bird comes for breakfast, on a days of sun they bring a friend with them, and when it pours and snows, nestles under the untamed ivy growing over my window in shelter. she/he is still un named, do you want to give a name to my new inspiration? x patrick 

When I woke, the town spoke.
Birds and clocks and cross bells
Dinned aside the coiling crowd,
The reptile profligates in a flame,
Spoilers and pokers of sleep,
The next-door sea dispelled
Frogs and satans and woman-luck,
While a man outside with a billhook,
Up to his head in his blood,
Cutting the morning off,
The warm-veined double of Time
And his scarving beard from a book,
Slashed down the last snake as though
It were a wand or subtle bough,
Its tongue peeled in the wrap of a leaf.

Every morning I make,
God in bed, good and bad,
After a water-face walk,
The death-stagged scatter-breath
Mammoth and sparrowfall
Everybody’s earth.
Where birds ride like leaves and boats like ducks
I heard, this morning, waking,
Crossly out of the town noises
A voice in the erected air,
No prophet-progeny of mine,
Cry my sea town was breaking.
No Time, spoke the clocks, no God, rang the bells,
I drew the white sheet over the islands
And the coins on my eyelids sang like shells.

Last night after The Misfits show hanging out with Jerry Only at the islington academy show with my gang @rowdysuperstar and @theresidencegal the songs brought back that spirit in me that sometimes falls asleep accidentally every few years. Flowers for my pack, the most supportive full of love gang of misfits, rebels and bravest fighters. I grew these in my little White room in Chelsea at the Desmond tutu centre. I took this photo in the light of the morning sun on my way to pattis studio. I drank too much gin today, that always makes you in contact with thoughts of death. Ididnt mean to raise alarms, life is flourishing again this last week. Thankyou NYC and www pack always in my heart, now ill shut up!! sweet dreams n beautiful nightmares. Xpw

After too many years, I just started drawing and painting again, waking me up to the details of life. Promised myself to study one thing a day.
